The book gives some concrete suggestions on how to run a better team. For example, it gave me permission for weekly 1:1s with my team.

It is a pleasant read. The key takeaway is that relationships make us happy and healthy. The book has specific examples that drive the point home

The author has a consulting service. Found a quick summary of the book on his website.
One surprising takeaway was that IT projects have a BIG cost overrun
No One Wins Alone by Mark Messier
A good read. Messier talks about his life as a professional NHL player. Lots of stories. Good lessons on building a team and winning as a team.

I also learned that I have something in common with King. His first reader/reviewer is his wife. :)
